Full Description:
Base Oil: Neem and Grapeseed: Neem is a traditional Indian remedy for lice, fleas and scabies. .
Tincture: Quassia (Picrasma excelsa): Noted insect repellent. Used as a skin wash for fleas, scabies and other parasites.
Essential oil blend: Lemon, Grapefruit, Orange, Citronella, Eucalyptus, Cedarwood, Sage, Lavender. Insects hate the smell of these oils.
- Garlic, either raw, powdered or capsules, can help keep parasites away.
- Vitamin B1 has been shown to repel insects. Although we cannot smell it, B1 is exuded through pores, giving off a smell insects find repulsive. Good for keeping mosquitoes at bay.
- Brewers yeast, rich in B vitamins, given as part of diet, also rubbed into coat as a flea powder, can be protective.
- A teaspoon of cider vinegar per pint of drinking water can also help
Suggested use: External Use Only. 2-5 drops directly onto collar, or add 5 drops to 20ml of olive oil, soak collar overnight in mixture, refresh weekly. Add 30 drops of blend to 100ml water, use in spray to treat pet bedding etc. Add 20-30 drops of mixture to 200ml of pet shampoo.
Directions & Dosage: The suggested dose on the bottle gives a drop amount. Small dogs and cats should be given a dose around the lower figure, large dogs should be given a dose around the higher figure. Pigeons and aviary birds, use one drop per bird in drinking water. Because the combinations are in tincture, it is advisable to put drops into a little hot (not boiling) water and allow to cool before administrating. This allows the alcohol to evaporate off.
